When I got home from my “mini vacation” this past week-end, I was delightfully surprised to find Bob working away in my tiny house. This was not only unexpected, but downright fantastic. It never ceases to amaze me how much work that man can accomplish in a short time. He is constantly telling me not to worry so much (but I do).
Let me share with you the wonderful things he had done for me. The counter tops are in place and bolted down. Here he is getting ready to install the kitchen sink.
This is the installation of my sink. Isn’t it a beauty!
Here’s the faucet. I chose a “bar faucet” because although it has everything I want, such as the end pulling out for a sprayer…this is a must for washing my pooch, etc., it is on a much smaller scale than a regular faucet. Exactly what is needed for a tiny kitchen. Also, I am really excited about my kitchen lighting fixture. Perfect!
I hope you are enjoying this adventure as much as I am. Thank you to all of the people who are touching my life in such a positive way. As with any adventure, sometimes the roads we travel down are not yet paved, but all of your encouragement make me glad to say “I’m hanging on”. My greatest hope is that in the end, my son will be pleased with what I have done with his gift to me!

I love, love, love your sink! Where did you find it? I considered some modern wall-hung sinks for the bathroom but didn’t even know there were such neat sinks for the kitchen.
What kind of pooch do you have that will fit in your sink? I’m hoping to have a tiny pink poodle later when I finally get to have my tiny house.

I love, love, love it too! I bought it at a church thrift shop for $25.00! It was brand new and still had a $400.00 price tag on it from Lowes. It had been discontinued and so had been donated. That was indeed my lucky day. As for my “pooch”, we have a 6 pound maltese named Gizmo who is our “baby” since our real babies have grown up, moved away, and build tiny homes!

That was a deal! I’m off to look at what all Lowe’s has. I haven’t looked there for anything to go in my Tiny House Dream book.
Maltese are so cute! My grandmother had one. My human kids have grown up too. Love having the pooches around now.
Thanks for answering my question!

There are some wonderful “deals” out there, we just have to always have our eyes open.

I love the round sink for a kitchen, I don’t think I would have thought of that. Also like your faucet and the new lights. It’s coming along really nice. Since you pay him in food what did you make him special for all his good work? You are blessed with a good man! Thanks for posting more pictures.

My husband, Rick and I are planning on taking Bob and his wife Lolly out for a really special meal as soon as he is done. You are right, they are special people in my life and I am so very thankful they are my friends.

Wow, it’s really looking good! Congrats on all fronts.
Now I’m anxious to see the bathroom with the kitchen looking like that!
